For the last year, Mary has been working on her new concept in sustainable fashion, Salvage Renaissance. Here is the first paragraph of the About:
Salvage Renaissance is a purpose-driven brand that seeks to attract Generation X, Baby Boomers, and older customers to buying upcycled clothing and accessories. Gen Z has been doing this for awhile, so we want to bring it to other generations. We find our items in flea markets, at the back of closets, and in donation stores. About 40% of our offerings have been re-imagined by artists, who use trendy colors and detailing to revitalize these pieces. Our launch categories are: denim, graphic tees, shirts, sweaters, hoodies, bags, scarves, and shoes. Our collection includes some of the most coveted brand names in flea markets and Goodwill stores: DL1961, Madewell, Levi Strauss, Calvin Klein, Wrangler, and Tommy Hilfiger, to name a few. Those items may have needed a bit of cleaning and mending. We also feature a few "Closet Capsules" that are very special collections; a consignment agreement for friends who are ready to part with some of their most valued, iconic pieces: accessories that include, but are not limited to: Prada, alligator, and Longchamp bags. Add to that...Ferragamo and TODS shoes. And a selection of scarves, some of which date back to the 70's. Beautiful prints and an assortment of sizes you will love.
I hope that you will explore Mary's new business and find something worthwhile.
